What this article will cover
There is no single instrument called the All India Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016. Each of the three All India Services carries its own Pay Rules, made under section 3(1) of the All India Services Act, 1951 and notified by the Department of Personnel and Training: the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Rules, 2016, notified as G.S.R. 870(E) on 8 September 2016, and the corresponding Pay Rules for the Indian Police Service and the Indian Forest Service.
